Ra in body

How does RA effect you physically?

Did you know many rheumatoid arthritis patients find that RA impacts their ability to take care of their daily life? Many of the ways RA can affect your quality of life have to do with how you're feeling physically. Besides the pain, stiffness, and joint swelling, RA can affect you physically in other ways. Look at the Physical symptoms page to learn about additional symptoms that can affect your body.

One key thing to remember is that RA can be a progressive disorder. Over time, damage to joints can become severe and other organs can also become affected. That's why it's important to focus on slowing the progression of the disorder, controlling symptoms, and preventing further damage.

Be sure to print and complete this Symptom Tracker before your next doctor or rheumatologist appointment, and use it to discuss your symptoms and feelings in detail.
